Everyone is invited to a new special post event to the annual WinterFest hosted by University of Illinois Extension and DeKalb County Forest Preserve. Bill and Mary Lloyd of Genoa have offered to partner with the event for a post WinterFest Warm Up from 3 to 5 p.m. on the same day, January 20. They are offering the Lloyds Garden Center venue, 622 Park Avenue, Genoa, as a warm place to gather and wrap up your WinterFest outing.

After WinterFest, which ends at 3 p.m., people can drive the short distance from Russell Woods Forest Preserve into town and join the party. Lloyds will have a hot cocoa bar and other beverages for all ages as well as comfort food and live music by Lee Gardner.

The event is free and if you know you are coming, please go to the Eventbrite website (eventbrite.com), search for “Winterfest warm up” and register for your free tickets. Registration is not required to attend.
