Once upon a time, many ancient marriages were by capture, not consent. From Queen Victoria to the brides of Black Point Estate in Lake Geneva, this program looks at the traditions, superstitions, and customs influencing celebrity and society weddings, historical lakeshore extravaganzas, and local ceremonies. Presented by returning guest speaker Chris Brookes of Black Point Estate, a member of the Wisconsin Historical Society.
