NO KINGS 2

NO KINGS 2

The public is invited to show support for democracy in the peaceful No Kings 2 rally on Saturday, October 18, in front of the Hopkins Park tennis courts in DeKalb from noon-1:30 PM.

This administration has defied our courts, deported American citizens, disappeared people off the streets, and slashed our services — all while orchestrating a massive giveaway to their billionaire allies.

If you are outraged by attacks on civil rights including voting, skyrocketing costs, abductions and disappearances, the gutting of essential services, or the assault on free speech, this moment is for you. This event is on track to be the biggest national protest of modern history.

The Constitution of the United States defines our government, guarantees our freedoms, and establishes the smooth functioning of our American society. Yet, this administration has systematically undermined the rule of law from unapproved tariffs, to cutting of government funded programs, to blatant self enrichment. Our response to these abuses must be undeniable, peaceful, and principled.

Be part of the action on Saturday, October 18, from Noon to 1:30 PM at Hopkins Park along Route 23. People are invited to bring a sign and a chair. We will be collecting non-perishable food. There will be speakers and music.

Co-sponsors include REACT, Exploring Issues, DeKalb County Democrats, 350Kishwaukee, and DeKalb Migrant Aid.
