Herbalism Series
Herbalism Series
Whether you are curious to start or want to connect with others who practice herbalism, this workshop series is for you. Herbalism is the ancient practice of using plants to support health and well-being. Each session will begin with a brief round table discussion, then move into a practice with herbs led by Krysta Wasilewski. This program is best suited for ages 15 and up. Please register in advance to help us prepare.
January 24th– Defining Herbalism. We will have a group discussion about what herbalism is and isn’t. Then, we’ll get to know and work with White Pine to learn about teas, decoctions, and long infusions.
February 21st– Kitchen Herbalism. We will get curious about how to use ingredients that are already in your kitchen with more intention, and how to source herbs. Together we will use Sage, Thyme, Rosemary, Oregano, Cinnamon, and more to create supportive recipes.
March 28th– Plant Relationships in Herbalism. We will consider the connections and interactions amongst herbs and why they matter. We’ll begin fostering relationships by planting herbs that can be used for practice in future classes.
