Elgin Symphony Orchestra opens 73rd season with "Enigma Variations" concerts
Guest conductor Andres Lopera leads the Elgin Symphony Orchestra into its 73rd season in a program of Dvořák’s Carnival Overture, Wynton Marsalis’ Violin Concerto featuring violinist Kelly Hall-Tompkins, and Elgar’s Enigma Variations, Sat., Oct. 8 at 7:30 p.m., and Sun., Oct. 9 at 2:30 p.m.. Tickets start at $10 for students, $20 for adults. Youth age 17 and under are free with a paying adult. www.elginsymphony.org
