Rock Valley College Old Towne Band concerts May 3 & 4

Rock Valley College Old Towne Band concerts May 3 & 4

Rock Valley College Old Towne Band will present 2 FREE concerts at 7:30 PM on both May 3 and May 4 in the Rock Valley College Performing Arts Room, Educational Resource Center, 3100 N. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL.

These concerts will celebrate the 40th year of being under the direction of Mark Rose. The band plays music from the early 1900s such as ragtime, Dixieland, circus music, vaudeville tunes, overtures, etc.

These concerts will feature the "William Tell Overture", the cornet solo "Count Your Blessings" by Jim Martindale, and the clarinet section performing "Dizzy Fingers". With their usual mix of lively music, audience participation and stupid jokes, this is an event for the whole family. Children are especially welcome.
