Putnam County Public Library District to Host “Sun Smart Science Challenge”
The Putnam County Public Library District is pleased to announce the upcoming Sun Smart Science Challenge, a program designed to engage young learners in the science of sun safety through hands-on experimentation and creative exploration. During this interactive program, participants will investigate how various materials block ultraviolet (UV) radiation by conducting experiments with solar-sensitive beads. Participants will then apply their findings to craft their own Sun Safe Armband, combining scientific discovery with practical application.
This program is ideal for school-age children and families. It will be hosted on Tuesday, August 12th at 4:00 p.m. at the Granville Branch, 214 S. McCoy Street, Granville. For more information, please contact the Putnam County Public Library District at 815-339-2038.
