The Putnam County Public Library District will host a Movie Matinee screening of “Fly Like a Girl,” on Tuesday, August 19th at 1:00 p.m. at the Granville Branch, 214 S. McCoy Street, Granville.

This uplifting 84-minute documentary (rated TV-14) goes beyond telling a story—it celebrates a movement dedicated to dreaming big, breaking barriers, and challenging the status quo. Fly Like a Girl shares powerful, real-life accounts from women and girls who have pursued their passion for aviation, a field still predominantly led by men. Viewers will meet a young girl who insists her toy airplanes have female pilots, as well as a trailblazing astronaut who played a pivotal role in NASA shuttle missions. Their journeys embody courage, vision, and the determination to soar beyond expectations.
