Movie Matinee: Museum Alive with David Attenborough at the Putnam County Public Library District

Movie Matinee: Museum Alive with David Attenborough at the Putnam County Public Library District

Step into a world where history comes alive in this landmark documentary, Museum Alive, hosted by the legendary Sir David Attenborough. Through a groundbreaking blend of cutting-edge science and stunning CGI, Attenborough fulfills his long-held dream of bringing the London Natural History Museum’s long-extinct creatures back to life.

During this magical after-hours journey, fossils transform into living, breathing beasts. Attenborough slips past security to witness a sabre-toothed tiger prowling the halls, a giant predatory bird swooping overhead, a colossal snake coiling to strike, and even a Diplodocus returning to life. Against the backdrop of the museum’s grand architecture, these creatures reveal not only their awe-inspiring forms but also the latest scientific discoveries about their ancient worlds.

This 52-minute documentary is free and open to the public, made possible through public performance rights provided by Kanopy and will be hosted by the Library at the Condit Branch (105 N. Center Street, Putnam) on Thursday, October 16th at 4:00 p.m. For more information, please contact the Putnam County Public Library District at 815-339-2038.
