The Coliseum Museum welcomes Kat Heitzman as our Feature Wall Artist for the month of April.

As a self-taught artist, Kat has honed her craft through years of dedication, constantly exploring new techniques and pushing boundaries in her own work.

Her artistic journey is driven by a belief in the power of self-expression, and this passion is something she has shared with countless students throughout her career. Kat has taught and inspired both children and adults at institutions like Rock Valley College, as well as through her popular paint night events and hands-on workshops. Whether in a classroom, studio, or community event, she has a unique ability to make art feel accessible to all, empowering her students to find their own creative voice.

Kat’s art is inspired by the limitless realms of fantasy, often blending elements of the imaginative and the surreal. Her work doesn’t conform to any single style or medium—it’s about breaking free from boundaries and embracing creativity in its purest form.
