Celebration Chorale Patriotic Cantata

Celebration Chorale Patriotic Cantata
The Celebration Chorale invites the community to attend its annual patriotic cantata, Homeland, with two performances scheduled for Saturday, June 28 at 7:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 29 at 3:00 p.m. The event will take place at First United Methodist Church, located at 2501 North Annie Glidden Road in DeKalb.
Homeland is a moving musical tribute to the nation, celebrating the spirit of America as both a place and a people. The cantata will be accompanied by the Celebration Chorale Orchestra. A cherished tradition within the program is the Salute to the Armed Forces, honoring members and veterans of the United States military.
Directed by Christine Monteiro, the Celebration Chorale is composed of musicians from across the region, representing over 10 area communities and more than nine church denominations. The ensemble brings together both professional and amateur vocalists, including long-time members and newcomers alike.
There is no admission fee for the performances, but a free-will offering will be collected. The church is fully accessible, with parking available adjacent to the church building.
