NIU murder case update

WNIJ news – The case of William Curl was back in court Monday morning. Curl is the DeKalb man suspected of killing a Northern Illinois University student last fall. The victim, Antinette Keller, was reported missing days before her badly burned remains were found in an off-campus park. Prosecutors have filed a motion to have some of those remains released to Keller's family, so it can hold a private memorial service. Curl's attorney has said she wants the remains reviewed by an expert. At Monday's hearing, the defense told the judge that a possible compromise is in the works. Another hearing has been scheduled for Friday. Curl is currently being held on five million dollars bond. He's pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
