Dr. Chantal T. Girod migrated to the United States from France at the age of 4 and became an American citizen at 12. Her mother is of Bolivian heritage and her father of French heritage.
She graduated from medical school at the University of Iowa and completed her residency at the Univeristy of Illinois -- Chicago Medical School in Rockford.
She has been a family physician with the SwedishAmerican Health System since 2001. Her husband also is a family doctor with SwedishAmerican.
They have three children, two dogs and three cats.
