Sycamore United Methodist Church’s Music Ministries will present composer Pepper Choplin’s “Come Walk with Me: Through the Passion and Resurrection of Christ,” at 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, April 6 and 7, at the church. Performed by the 30-member Chancel Choir, the program led by SUMC Music Director Peter Hansen is a journey through the last days of the life and ministry of Jesus. Choplin, a prolific North Carolina composer of contemporary sacred music, mixes classical, Appalachian, bluegrass and Celtic folk music styles to set the story in the hour-long program.
