Stage Coach Players will hold an audition to fill roles in the Agatha Christie play, A Murder Is Announced, and the musical-comedy, The Drowsy Chaperone on Sunday, April 10, 2022. Auditions will be held at Stage Coach Players theatre between 1 and 3.

Needed for A Murder Is Announced, is a man, aged 20 -40 who could play a man in his mid to late 20’s. The actor will need to do a formal English accent (will have a dialect coach to assist at rehearsals). The actor will be required to do an onstage kiss.

Needed for The Drowsy Chaperone is a man aged 20 – 40 for the role of the groom-to-be. Auditioners should prepare 32 bars of a musical theatre song (not from the show) and bring sheet music in the correct key. Vocal range is tenor (C3 – Ab4). They will also be asked to learn a short dance routine, and ideally be able to tap and roller skate. The character is debonair, dashing and a matinee idol. He’s cheesy, cheerful, and optimistic.

All those cast in the 2022 season for SCP must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the time rehearsals for each show begins.
