DeKalb Township is partnering with the Illinois Tollway to host an event for residents to recycle and swap out their I-PASS transponders in favor of the new I-PASS stickers. This event offers an opportunity for attendees to safely recycle their lithium-containing transponders. Participants also will receive an I-PASS account credit equivalent to the amount of their transponder deposit.

The event will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, August 1st at Faranda's in downtown DeKalb.

Admission to the event is free. Appointments are highly recommended. For questions or to book an appointment, call 815-758-8282.

Note: A second event will be held on September 12th from 1 PM - 7 PM at DeKalb Township. Appointments for the September event are mandatory.
