Nia Springer-Norris
Originally from Pittsburgh, Nia Springer-Norris moved to DeKalb in 2021 to pursue a Master of Arts in Communication Studies with an emphasis on Journalism Studies. Nia is also a freelance journalist, editor, and communication consultant. Her favorite stories to write are solutions journalism stories about technology, culture, and racial equity and she has contributed to Next City and Kirkus Reviews.
After moving to DeKalb, Nia decided to take root in the community and worked briefly for Safe Passage as the Director of Prevention and Communication.
