WNIJ / WNIU, DeKalb-Rockford seeks a Development Director with a passion for public broadcasting to oversee fundraising and community outreach activities. This person coordinates all fundraising and marketing efforts for our network of five radio stations and a radio reading service for the print-impaired. Areas of oversight include annual giving, grants, corporate support and special events, with an emphasis on individual giving. In addition, the Development Department heads up the stations’ marketing and public relations campaigns as well. The successful candidate will be part of the management team of Northern Public Radio and will supervise a staff of four.

Job Qualifications:
An ideal candidate will be knowledgeable about public broadcasting and possess: demonstrated fundraising success, strong communication and marketing skills, proven managerial skill, interpersonal skills, and the ability to build and strengthen relationships with listeners-members and the community at large.
Job Requirements:
BA or equivalent, with a minimum of three years full-time development/fundraising experience.
