A Northern Illinois amusement park is up for sale.
Donley’s Wild West Town is a 23-acre attraction based in Union, a town east of Marengo. It dates back to 1979, and contains a complete old-west town. Donley’s features cowboy shows, museums with period memorabilia, and a silver-mine themed roller coaster.
Upscale gift catalog Hammacher Schlemmer recently announced the park is up for sale at a price of $7 million. However, the Chicago Tribune reports this isn’t the first time the park went on the market. The owners set up an eBay listing in 2003 and, at the time, it was one of the most expensive items on the website. Bids went as high as $2 million, but these were considered “way off.”
