Public radio is supported by the public. We rely on a committed community that provides the largest part of the annual revenue necessary to operate. At different times throughout the year, we launch multiple fundraising campaigns, different ways to ask listeners for their support.Thank you to our listeners, members, sponsors and underwriters who support these efforts. We invite everyone to join the public radio community. Donate now.

Spring 2019 Membership Campaign

The WNIJ-WNIU membership campaign is upon us and we want to raise the money needed to keep bringing you the programs and music you love, without interruption.

This spring we need to raise $130,000 to pay for news from around the globe, and right here in your backyard. It also pays for the lighter side of programming, like 24/7 classical music, Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me, and World Café. Whatever your favorite show, it’s only possible with your support. Donate now.

When you make your gift, we’ll celebrate the occasion by planting a tree. We’re teaming up with the Public Radio Forest project to make sure one tree is planted for every donation made this month.  Make your world greener and help raise $130,000 to support public radio. Give now. We and Mother Earth thank you.

Funding for the public radio forest project is provided in part by Jennifer Reisinger of Edward Jones, Severson Dells Nature Center, and Tyler’s Landscaping.

We're pleased to also offer these member thank you gifts this spring:

Staci Hoste joined the stations in 2008 and is responsible for the stations' general operations and overall strategy. She’s been a lifelong listener to WNIJ and WNIU -- first as a “prisoner of public radio” in her parents' backseat, and now of her own enthusiastic accord. Her favorite shows include On the Media, This American Life, and Wait, Wait…Don't Tell Me. In addition to her role at the station, Staci serves on the board of directors for Riverfront Museum Park, Kish Health System Hospice, The University Station Alliance and the Illinois Public Broadcasting Council. When time allows she enjoys reading and working on an ongoing home restoration project.
