September Unemployment Down In All Wisconsin Counties And Largest Cities

Unemployment rates dropped last month in every Wisconsin county and all 32 of the state's largest cities.
 
The state's Department of Workforce Development reported Wednesday on preliminary localunemployment rates for September. It shows unemployment rates fell compared with August in all 72 counties and the largest cities.  Rock County's unemployment rate fell from 4.3 percent to 3.9 percent.  Beloit's rate stood at 4.7 percent, down from 5.5 percent in August.  Janesville's September rate was 4.1 percent, vs. August's 4.5 percent.   
 

The state's unemployment for September was 4.1 percent.

The rates were not seasonally adjusted.
