Rock Valley College Trustees To Consider New Member

Aug 15, 2016

Rock Valley College’s Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting Monday to consider who will fill a recent vacancy.

Insurance agent Frank Haney was a longtime member of the body, even serving as chair, but resigned in July to begin his campaign for Winnebago County Board Chairman.

Member Patrick Murphy currently serves as chair, and the Board plans to deliberate over a replacement to Haney in closed session.

The potential candidates are Jarid Funderburg, executive director of Belvidere-based economic development firm Growth Dimensions, and Joseph Fanara, a Rockford podiatrist.  If the board makes a final decision Monday, they will swear in the candidate that evening.

The special meeting begins at 5:15 PM in the Physical Education Center, located at 3301 N. Mulford Road.
