Dibble Family LLC’s request to build a propane distribution facility in DeKalb County is facing another public hearing.
The Morris-based company wants to build the facility at 25330 Five Points Road, a patch of farmland west of Sycamore. However, local landowners worry their properties could be affected if the building catches fire.
The Daily Chronicle reportsthe request was scheduled to be voted on by the DeKalb County Board earlier this week. However, an application error means it will have to be reconsidered by the planning and zoning committee.
A new hearing is expected in October and the Board wants it to be held at night to allow for more public participation. However, company principal Ron Dibble says this move makes him "unsure" if he'll continue with the special-use permit request.
