Northern Illinois University announcedthe selection of the vice president of Administration and Finance.
Alan Phillips will report to President Douglas Baker as a member of Baker's senior leadership team.
Phillips served the IBHE since 2011. He was first the deputy director for Fiscal Policy, Budgeting, Grants, Institutional Research and Information Technology. Later, he took the post of executive deputy director, where he was chief financial officer for Illinois’ higher education board.
Phillips served for more than 35 years in a variety of leadership and senior executive positions within the federal government before he began working as a college administrator and joined the IBHE.
The appointment is subject to approval from the Board of Trustees and scheduled to begin March 1.
