McCullough Trial: Day Three Update

A DeKalb County judge is hearing another day of testimony at the Jack McCullough murder trial. The 72-year-old is accused of killing a young Sycamore girl in the late 1950's.

At the start of Wednesday's proceedings, the state called to the stand Christopher Diaz, a jail inmate who says he overheard McCullough make some incriminating statements about the case.

Diaz says he heard McCullough tell another inmate that he strangled Maria Ridulph. The 7-year-old disappeared while playing near her home in December of 1957. Her body was found several months later in JoDaviess County.

Diaz told the court that the statements from McCullough were made earlier this month. He also says that prosecutors have not offered him anything in exchange for his testimony.                                                                                                               He
