Kishwaukee College Names New President

The Board of Trustees at Kishwaukee College reached an agreement with Laurie Borowicz, Ed.D., to become the school's next president. 

According to a news release, Borowicz is currently the Vice President of Student Services for Northcentral Technical College, Wausau, WI. Previously, she served as the Dean of K-12 Relations and Student Success at Northcentral Technical College, WI.

Borowicz received a Bachelor of Science in Retailing from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, WI, a Master of Science in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Wisconsin – Stout, Menomonie, WI, and a Doctor of Education in Higher Education Leadership from Edgewood College, Madison, WI.

The release says a special board meeting will be held soon to approve her contract. 

Borowicz is expected to start the new role on the first day of second semester classes, Jan. 19th

Jenna Dooley has spent her professional career in public radio. She is a graduate of Northern Illinois University and the Public Affairs Reporting Program at the University of Illinois - Springfield. She returned to Northern Public Radio in DeKalb after several years hosting Morning Edition at WUIS-FM in Springfield. She is a former "Newsfinder of the Year" from the Illinois Associated Press and recipient of NIU's Donald R. Grubb Journalism Alumni Award. She is an active member of the Illinois News Broadcasters Association and an adjunct instructor at NIU.
