The Illinois Supreme Court rejected the request for an appeal from convicted killer Nicholas Sheley on Wednesday.
Sheley wanted to overturn one of his murder convictions in a 2008 killing spree. The Sterling native argued he should get a new trial in Knox County because of pre-trial publicity.
