Emily Klonicki is the Executive Director of the Freeport Public Library. She is passionate about library services, the arts, and community building. She loves working in public libraries because these passions can be combined to fuel real change and opportunities in the community.
Emily earned her Masters in Library Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her Bachelors in Arts from Rockford University. An active community member, she co-owns an arts-based business, MainfraiM, with her husband of thirteen years and serves on the Rockford Area Arts Council Board and the Music Academy in Rockford Foundation Board.
She and her husband have two children, ages 11 and 1. When she is not working at the library, she loves to spend time with her family playing outside, making music, reading books and finding adventure.
