The City of DeKalb has released a draft of its 10-Year Strategic Plan and invites community members to review it and offer comments and suggestions. The plan combines input gathered at more than 40 group discussions held throughout DeKalb and facilitated by Northern Illinois University's Center for Governmental Studies.
Planners worked to incorporate the initial public input into the drafted document. The plan includes visions, goals, strategies and actions to guide the City's activities and initiatives for the next decade. Copies of the draft are available on the City of DeKalb's website. Suggestions and comments will be accepted at the DeKalb City Manager's Office at (815) 748-0912 or via email to firstname.lastname@example.org to the Center for Governmental Studies through Monday, December 7.
