The College Enrollment Exodus And A Dessert Recipe | Teachers' Lounge Podcast

Sep 27, 2019

Rich Egger, news director at Tri States Public Radio in Macomb, joins us for a special edition episode of Teachers’ Lounge. Public radio stations across the state collaborated on our “Enrollment Exodus” series chronicling enrollment challenges facing Illinois colleges and universities, especially since the 2015-2017 state budget impasse. I talked to Egger about how enrollment decline at Western Illinois University didn’t just hurt the school, it hurt the whole region.

And after years and years of falling enrollment, Illinois universities are paying more and more attention to keeping the students who already walk their halls.

If that’s not enough, you’ll also hear the recipe for Rich Egger’s famous sugar frosted chocolate bombs.

Don't fret, Teachers' Lounge will be back to normal next episode!
