Christine Sneed

Christine Sneed is a novelist, poet and short-story writer.

Her first book -- the story collection Portraits of a Few of the People I've Made Cry -- won the 2009 Grace Paley Prize and Ploughshares' John C. Zacharis prize, and was chosen the traditionally published fiction Book of the Year by the Chicago Writers Association.

Her second book, the novel Little Known Facts, won the Society of Midland Authors Award for best adult fiction 2013, was named one of Booklist's top ten debut novels of 2013, and best new book by a local author by Chicago Magazine.

She teaches for the graduate writing programs at Northwestern University and the University of Illinois-Urbana-Champaign and lives in Evanston.

Christine's latest novel -- Paris, He Said -- will be featured next month on the 2015 Winter Book Series on WNIJ.
