Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel says the public can now request to see emails from his personal accounts that relate to official city business.

Emanuel this week released thousands of pages of emails from two of his personal email accounts.

The Better Government Association sued for those emails, arguing the public is legally entitled to see emails that deal with government business.

Emanuel agreed to release them, but he has a warning.

EMANUEL: Know, though, it doesn’t come, potentially, cost-free. It may actually deal with limiting people to want to talk to people in public life.

Some of the people Emanuel could be referring to include business, religious, journalism, and political leaders whose names show up on the personal emails released this week.
