It may be cold in Illinois, but it’s nice and sunny down in beautiful Costa Rica! The library hosts a series of virtual tours of Costa Rica. These tours are in real time, with a guide who is happy to take questions from our virtual audience while showing us the sights.

Our first tour is all about coffee. It takes place in a coffee producing farm belonging to an enterprising Costa Rican family who created their own coffee brand. In the tour, you will “walk” among the coffee plants, learning how the chemistry behind coffee works. You will also learn about other fruit crops that this farm provides.

This virtual event is free and open to all. It is sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

Once you register you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the Zoom meeting, a phone number to call into the Zoom meeting, and a password to the meeting. Join the Zoom meeting 5 minutes prior to the program, especially if you haven’t used Zoom before.
