Join The Winnebago County Trauma Informed Community As Illinois Recognizes Trauma Informed Awareness Day! Attend a Public Awards Ceremony And Free Trauma 101 Training. Trauma is an event or experience that has a negative effect on an individual such as homelessness, family violence, or unemployment. The Winnebago County Trauma Informed Community will be recognizing the statewide Trauma Informed Awareness Day on Wednesday, May 15. This event is free and open to the public. There will be an Awards Ceremony that starts at 4pm at Patriots Gateway Community Center, 615 S. 5th Street, Rockford, IL 61104. At this ceremony, the Winnebago County Health Department will provide an update on Winnebago County’s journey toward becoming a trauma informed community. There will be a Trauma 101 Training at 4:30pm following the Awards Ceremony for those interested.
