DeKalb County State’s Attorney Rick Amato is not planning to run for re-election. He issued a statement Thursday announcing the decision.
In the statement, Amato credited his staff for their work over the past eight years, adding: "I have always believed that leadership is seasonal and that elected offices belong to the people the office serves. We need to encourage more people in our community to seek office and serve."
