A few high schools in the WNIJ listening area ranked in the state’s top 50. That’s according to two national lists released yesterday.
Those schools include ones in Saint Charles, Cary, Barrington, Aurora and Naperville.
Saint Charles North and Naperville North and Central high schools also ranked within the country’s top 1,000 high schools -- or top five percent -- in the U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools 2016 list. Metea Valley and Barrington high schools were also ranked in the state’s top 50 in the Washington Post Most Challenging Schools list, along with Cary-Grove High School.
Crystal Lake Central High School, Prairie Ridge High School and Plano High School made the state’s top 50 in the Washington Post list but not the U.S. News & World Report.
