Sycamore’s park district selected a construction company to build a new recreation complex.
The new campus is part of Sycamore’s Action 2020 plan, a citywide beautification project. It will be built on Airport Road, and contain amenities such as a dog park, splash pond, community center, and sledding hill.
The Daily Chronicle reports the district chose Ringling-Johnson, a company that worked on other area projects, including the Sycamore Public Safety Building, and District 427 Field House. They were one of eight companies that submitted applications to work on the project, and will put it out for bid by early next year.
