photo provided by Rockford Police Dept

The man accused of shooting three people in a party bus in Rockford last weekend has turned himself in. Police say 22-year-old Raheem D. King of Rockford turned himself in Wednesday afternoon around  5:00. His girlfriend, Lakeacia Kizart, 21, surrendered to police an hour later.

King is charged with first degree murder for the shooting deaths of three men who were on the rental bus with him -- Daijon Sistrunk, 22, Sean Anderson, 27, and Martavies Blake, 21. They were murdered on the bus near the intersection of Auburn St. and Johnston Av. King’s being held in the Winnebago County Jail without bond.

Kizart is charged with concealing a fugitive and is being held on $1,000,000 bond.

Police have not said where King had been the five days since the shooting. Early in the morning Saturday, April 7, police received a call from the driver of a charter bus, saying there had been a shooting. Three people were found dead aboard the bus: other passengers and the shooter had fled. Police released King’s name as their suspect Saturday night.
