Another round of college graduates is heading into the world. We asked winter graduates at Kishwaukee College how they feel about their futures.

Aaron Newman

Aaron graduated with an Associate of Science degree.

"Being a college graduate to me means that I finally came back and finished what I started. A word that I would use to describe how I feel about my future is 'terrified.' In five years, I hope my role in the world is to be a CPA."

Elizabeth Jackson-Helton

Elizabeth Jackson-Helton

Elizabeth majored in Automated Engineering.

"Being a college graduate to me means I can provide for my family. I can do something I absolutely love. Because as the saying goes, 'If you do what you love, you never work a day in your life.' A word I would use to describe how I feel about my future is 'inspired.' Because, you know, it’s been a long arduous road and I’ve gone through a lot of trials and tribulations trying to just get here and I’m here now so it’s great. I hope my role in the world is to build engines or manufacture engines for Maserati and Bugatti. Because that would be awesome and [offer] lots of money."

Ian Kidd

Ian Kidd

Ian graduated in Mechanical Engineering and is continuing his studies at Northern Illinois University.

"Being a college graduate means to me that I have more responsibility-- more things I feel obligated to do. A word I would use to describe how I feel about my future is 'optimistic.' I hope my role in the world will be some kind of engineer. You know, designing the future, basically."
