Kishwaukee College teachers rejected the latest offer from college administrators during a meeting Tuesday.
The 81 instructors have been working without a contract since August. They've filed an intent to strike and could do so as early as Friday. However, both sides have scheduled a meeting for next week to continue to negotiate.
In a news release from the union representing the teachers, the Kishwaukee College Education Association said its members rejected the school's latest counter-proposal. Specifics of any proposals were not released.
