Kishwaukee College Foundation Names Tuition Winner

Kishwaukee College

The Kishwaukee College Foundation announced this week Paige Schons, Genoa, as the winner of the Tuition Giveaway for Spring 2016, a value of $1428.

According to a news release, Paige, a 2010 alumnus of Genoa-Kingston High School, will be graduating from Kishwaukee College in May 2016 with her Associate in Science degree and plans to transfer to a university to pursue a career in the healthcare field.

The Kishwaukee College Foundation announced in December that they would be awarding a tuition reimbursement worth up to 12 credit hours to one student drawn at random from all the students registered for Spring 2016.

Marshall Hayes, Executive Director of Foundation Development, explained in the release, “We annually offer assistance to students in the form of scholarships, but with the recent budget issues facing students in Illinois, we decided to help one student with their college costs at random, with no eligibility requirements beyond being registered for Spring 2016.
