The DeKalb County State's Attorney lashed out at a judge Thursday, after a Seattle man was acquitted of rape charges. 

The performance of township governments in Illinois was on display Tuesday night.

The Rockford school board has approved a contract extension for the district's interim superintendent. 

The Illinois Attorney General's office says an elected official in northern Illinois has to decide between two jobs.  But Ted Biondo won't give up any elected seat while state lawmakers consider changing a law that would make it legal for him to hold two offices. 

The city of DeKalb is putting together plans with NIU officials to gather housing data for the community.  The research project would include information on factors such as foreclosures, vacancy rates, and code compliance.  Bill Nicklas is NIU’s associate vice president for institutional planning and sustainability.  He says the university is always concerned about the safety and quality of housing in DeKalb.
