Rockford, IL – A small recording studio in Rockford is home for two Midwestern bands that found they have a lot in common. Now they're close to wrapping up a new album while staying busy playing live shows, often together. A long walk for peace

A long walk for peace

La Salle, IL – A group of peace activists is marching across the state to draw attention to their cause. Members of Voices for Creative Nonviolence are calling on the U-S to withdraw its troops from Iraq and to further fund reconstruction of the country. The group is walking from Springfield to the Chicago area.

WNIJ's Chris Lehman caught up with them this morning along a La Salle County highway. He spoke with group member Jeff Leys.
