Campaign starts to save "Black Hawk"

DeKalb, IL – An iconic Illinois statue will be 100 years old next year. But time has not been kind to the monumental structure known to many as "Black Hawk." A campaign has begun to restore it to its former glory. WNIJ 's Guy Stephens reports.

BP protest in northern Illinois

Arianna Wells and Harley Sharbonau join the protest against BP June 12th in Dixon, Illinois

Dixon, IL – People all around the globe, including some in northern Illinois, staged protests against BP this weekend over the massive oil spill in the Gulf. About a dozen people endured the rain before being baked by the sun at a gas station in Dixon. WNIJ's Christopher Hosken was there.
